Another day, another city. This time, Pécs, a city in the south of Hungary. It was actually named European Capital of Culture for 2010. A quirky but cute little city.

Introducing Esztergom...
With the weather turning, temperature rising, and proper sunny days, it was time to dust off the camera for a new season of photoshoots. This first proper one is from Esztergom, a city located way north in Hungary, a river away from the Slovakian border. It was one of those surreal experiences, where I ate sweet kürtőskalács in Esztergom, but enjoyed some delicious ice-cream in Sturovo, Slovakia. No borders, no passpots, just a bridge connect two cities with two entirely different languages and histories. Here are a few introductory pictures...

Let it snow, let it snow...
Well, there is no way of denying that it is still winter. And it is a proper winter, with snow, bitter freezing temperatures and that wind... Though I try not to torture the camera under such conditions, here are a few pics that I took first at night and then the next day. As much as I am no fan of the cold, how could you not love snow and the magical transformation of any place. Before that though, there will be two pics from Budapest from above. One of the best part of flying is the birds-eye-view from above... always and forever captivating. Enjoy.

snow, ice, snow - aka winter
This post is a bit random as it will contain a mix of pictures from my recent very short trip to the States and a few shots from my visit last year. There are a few photos that are not bad and go well with the theme. Nothing spectecular just sights that I came across on walks around Long Island and the City. As much as I enjoy winter, especially when there is lots of snow, you can bundle up with snow boots, a thick ski jacket, hats and gloves, I must admit I am looking forward to spring.
